Thermal degradation of PVC in various solvents at 180° has been observed to be in the following order: benzonitrite > nitrobenzene > cyclohexanone > dioctyl phthalate > α-bromonaphthalane > decahydronaphthalene. The effect has been explained on the basis of β-eliminations of E1-type favoured by polar solvents. An inhibition in PVC degradation has been observed in nitrobenzene containing stationary hydrogen chloride gas. The deceleration in degradation by predissolved HCl has been accounted for as a Mass Law effect.  相似文献

The alkaloidal extract of the leaves of Phoebe grandis (nees) merr. have provided two new minor alkaloids; phoebegrandine D (1), a proaporphine-tryptamine dimer, and phoebegrandine E (2), an indoloquinolizidine. This is the first report on the occurrence of an indoloquinolizidine in the Phoebe species. The crude extract also exhibited antiplasmodial activity (IC50<8 microg mL-1). The structures of the novel compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, notably 2D NMR and HRMS.  相似文献

We have explored the potential of deep Raman spectroscopy, specifically surface‐enhanced spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (SESORS), for non‐invasive detection from within animal tissue, by employing SERS‐barcoded nanoparticle (NP) assemblies as the diagnostic agent. This concept has been experimentally verified in a clinically‐relevant backscattered Raman system with an excitation line of 785 nm under ex vivo conditions. We have shown that our SORS system, with a fixed offset of 2–3 mm, offered sensitive probing of injected 2‐quinolinethiol‐barcoded NP assemblies through animal tissue containing both protein and lipid. In comparison with that of non‐aggregated SERS‐barcoded gold NPs, we have demonstrated that the tailored SERS‐barcoded aggregated NP assemblies have significantly higher detection sensitivity. We report that these NP assemblies can be readily detected at depths of 7–8 mm from within animal proteinaceous tissue with high signal‐to‐noise ratio. In addition, they could also be detected from beneath 1–2 mm of animal tissue with high lipid content, which generally poses a challenge because of high absorption of lipids in the near‐infrared region. We have also shown that the signal intensity and signal‐to‐noise ratio at a particular depth is a function of the SERS tag concentration used and that our SORS system has a 2‐quinolinethiol detection limit of 10−6 M. Higher detection depths may possibly be obtained with optimization of the NP assemblies, along with improvements in the instrumentation. Such NP assemblies offer prospects for in vivo, non‐invasive detection of tumours along with scope for incorporation of drugs and their targeted and controlled release at tumour sites. These diagnostic agents combined with drug delivery systems could serve as a ‘theranostic agent’, an integration of diagnostics and therapeutics into a single platform. Total fragmentation cross section for the reaction 158A Pb ions + Cu target is measured using the most sensitive track detector CR-39. Measured values are compared with calculations. Exposures of target-detector stack with 158A P5 projectiles are made at CERN-SPS beam facility. Results of calibration of CR-39 detector in a charge region (63 ≤ Z ≤ 83) are also reported, which can be used for high energy particle identification using CR-39 and in determination of partial charge changing cross sections. The charge resolution δz achieved by this technique is about 0.2e. A systematic dependence of total fragmentation cross section on target properties is revealed and the corresponding results are presented.  相似文献

Meat is a rich source of energy that provides high-value animal protein, fats, vitamins, minerals and trace amounts of carbohydrates. Globally, different types of meats are consumed to fulfill nutritional requirements. However, the increasing burden on the livestock industry has triggered the mixing of high-price meat species with low-quality/-price meat. This work aimed to differentiate different meat samples on the basis of metabolites. The metabolic difference between various meat samples was investigated through Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy coupled with multivariate data analysis approaches like principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least square-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA). In total, 37 metabolites were identified in the gluteal muscle tissues of cow, goat, donkey and chicken using 1H-NMR spectroscopy. PCA was found unable to completely differentiate between meat types, whereas OPLS-DA showed an apparent separation and successfully differentiated samples from all four types of meat. Lactate, creatine, choline, acetate, leucine, isoleucine, valine, formate, carnitine, glutamate, 3-hydroxybutyrate and α-mannose were found as the major discriminating metabolites between white (chicken) and red meat (chevon, beef and donkey). However, inosine, lactate, uracil, carnosine, format, pyruvate, carnitine, creatine and acetate were found responsible for differentiating chevon, beef and donkey meat. The relative quantification of differentiating metabolites was performed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey test. Our results showed that NMR-based metabolomics is a powerful tool for the identification of novel signatures (potential biomarkers) to characterize meats from different sources and could potentially be used for quality control purposes in order to differentiate different meat types.  相似文献

Hydrofluoric acid has been used as a stripping agent for molybdenum(VI) using a mixture of N,N’-carbonyl difatty amides (CDFAs) synthesized from palm oil as a extractant. The CDFAs was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance technique. In the extraction step, the effects of parameters, such as type of diluent, hydrochloric acid, metal concentration, and temperature, have been studied. The effects of various stripping agents on stripping efficiency have also been investigated. This work presents the development of a low-cost and environmentally friendly extractant to recover molybdenum.  相似文献

This work presents quantification of proanthocyanidins (PAs) isolated from grapevine using disposable screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCE). Procyanidin B2 (B2) used as a model to investigate the electrochemical characteristics of complicated PAs structures in Britton Robinson buffer solution using cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. B2 exhibits a well-defined reversible redox wave at +0.49 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Significantly, the B2 was determined over a linear concentration range of 3.45–34.6 μM with a detection limit of 2.07 μM. The SPCE was used to analyze PAs in grapevine samples, and the results were consistent with those obtained using Folin-Ciocalteu standard method.  相似文献
